NATALIE CARLTON
Digital Media Philosopher
The curiosity I hold as a digital media researcher has formed through both resistance and experimentation of my material creativity and life with digital realms. I seek to support ongoing community dialogue regarding the relevance of, and conscious participation with, digital culture for contemporary art therapy practices in our modern age.
DUSTIN YU
Master of Arts in
Art Therapy Candidate
Dustin is a second year Master of Arts in Art Therapy graduate student at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. His interest in digital media stems from his photography and video background in art-making. Dustin is currently completing his Master's thesis, proposing a video-based art therapy intervention for use with Asian immigrants.
DANIEL LANCTOT
Art Therapist, Filmmaker
Daniel Lanctot is an art therapist and filmmaker. He currently works as an art therapist at Chicago Lakeshore Hospital in the General Adult Unit. Daniel has previous experience in settings including a community mental health center, residential treatment facilities for children and teens, and a nursing home for adults with dual diagnoses. Daniel’s filmmaking projects have focused on incorporating participatory processes to tell stories about human rights issues. For his graduate thesis project at the School of the Art Institute, Daniel used various forms of digital media to further explore issues of sexual violence.
Sze-Chin has aspirations to live in a world where art therapy, art, and art education intersect. When he is not exploring themes of culture, memory and nostalgia through the use of video, photography, and performance, you can find him cat-sitting for his friends.
